Manni L. Perez, the actress rumored to be playing Lucia in Grand Theft Auto 6, has deleted her social media. While the move may have been prompted by the behavior of the GTA 6 fandom, this remains unconfirmed, and there’s at least one alternative explanation to consider.
Not long after Rockstar shared the GTA 6 reveal trailer in early December 2023, fans identified Perez as a potential candidate for the role of Lucia. These theories are largely based on similarities between the actress’s voice and appearance and those of the upcoming game’s co-protagonist.
Perez deleted her long-time Instagram account, MannilPerez, in mid-July 2025. The move prompted some speculation that the rumored GTA 6 Lucia actress was harassed by the fandom over her suspected involvement in the game. However, this may not necessarily be the case, with some social media reports suggesting the Instagram account exhibited unusual behavior just prior to being deleted.
According to Twitter user CyberBoiuk, multiple “scammy stories” were posted via Perez’s Instagram account shortly before its removal, suggesting that the actress may have gotten hacked. Game Rant was unable to locate a cached version of the profile to verify this. In general, hacking incidents involving popular Instagram accounts are relatively common, so this theory sounds well within the realm of possibility. It remains unclear whether Perez has any intention of returning to Instagram in the foreseeable future. Profiles using her name can also be found on other social media platforms, but these are believed to be impostors, according to the actress’s previously shared Instagram Stories.
While Perez remains the most widely speculated candidate for the role of Lucia, the identity of the actor portraying the other protagonist is less clear. However, Game Rant previously identified Gregory Joseph Connors as a possible candidate for GTA 6‘s Jason, partly because he had listed a “lead” role in an unspecified Rockstar Games project targeting a 2025 release in a now-deleted CV. This was back when the project was still targeting a 2025 launch before getting delayed to late May 2026.
